Occasionally, you will find a boat beneath the boardwalk of the shops. Proceed to the railway station for your nostalgic train ride to Pangi, a small outpost where you will start your rafting. The train ride takes about 1.5 hours rattling through small isolated village hamlets and orchards. Here in this pretty little outdoor setting, you will be given a simple drink and snack. After a few simple instructions, you are off. Navigating the rapids and surging waters, your excitement begins, and all the time trying to hold on to the side of the slippery raft. After a series of rapids and tumbles, your confidence grows, by this time you would have reached the finishing point. You would want to go back and do it all over again. To satisfy your raging appetite, a barbecue lunch will be served after your shower at one of the bamboo huts. Another train ride takes you back to Beaufort and later back to the lodge.
