Sabah, Malaysian Borneo Overview

Sabah, in Borneo is the second largest state in Malaysia, located on the north of Borneo sharing borders with Sarawak and Kalimantan. With a population of just over 3 million consisting of 32 ethnics groups, she boasts an incredible array of cultural heritage. Blessed geographically, she host the highest mountain in the Malay Archipelago, Mount Kinabalu which rises majestically in the Kinabalu National Park, Malaysia’s first world heritage site. With more than 10 parks, nature and wildlife reserve, steamy and sultry rainforest, Sabah is undoubtedly one of the world’s best holiday destination. The Orang Utans, Proboscis Monkeys, Elephants, Sumatran Rhino are just some of the most exotic of Sabah’s varied wildlife. Her shoreline is sprinkle with superb beaches and stunning tranquil islands. A must mention here is Sipadan Island, voted one of the world’s top ten dive site and complementing her are the Langkayan, Kapalai, Mataking and Mabul Islands to name a few which has their own unique and exceptional attractions.
